CLOCKMAKING

After their development in the early 18th century to meet the demands of astrological observation, Regulator clocks have been the guardians of accurate timekeeping.

I specialise in making English long-case regulator clocks which have a Graham deadbeat escapement, compensated invar pendulum and Harrison maintaining.

Each clock is unique and takes almost nine months to build using traditional methods. In my Cotswold  workshop, I make every component of the mechanism and case, and undertake the hand engraving of dials and beat-plates.

Cases are built to a client's specification. I offer a traditional style case as well as a modern one of my own design which has the potential to show the clock mechanism to full advantage.
